Hunkering Down
Coming from a weekend full of nostalgic ‘Virginia’ fall activities (think: ham and biscuit morning breakfast, fox-hunting, gorgeous fall leaves falling, cooler mornings with rolling hills) - there’s lots of change to be had coming up, but for now I’m soaking it all in.
Scroll to see what I’m thinking of and pondering at the moment.
Madeleine Thompson’s Hong Kong Home
Madeleine Thompson is a constant ‘must-have’ for me - her cashmere designs of lines, fun colors, and characters are always on my wishlist for seasonal upbeat.
Which is why it’s no surprise that Madeleine’s home base in Hong Kong is an organized, open, and clean home of modern amenities and gorgeous views (peek that gorgeous open window view from the bathtub).
Check it out here.
It’s an ‘older’ article, but still relevant to this day…
An older traditional, reimagined.
Stephanie Fishwick is arguably the most sought-after calligrapher and illustrator to this day. Her clients are an assortment of corporate (Vogue), royalty and celebrities (Gwyneth Paltrow is a frequent flier). As a fellow Charlottesvillian, I am familiar with her work but none the more impressed (she’s a constant ‘like’ on the social media feed).
Her reimagination of an outdated tradition, previously intended for formalities, is a mix of rock and roll and whimsy.
Breakfast Nooks
There’s a ‘nook’ in our newest home we are about to move to, and I am so excited to (finally) have a home base to read, work, and gather to eat meals in our kitchen.
I am seeking inspiration from all corners of the internet for how this nook will shape out.
A favorite of mine?
Heather Taylor Home’s… home.
And, ending on a high note…
a dreamy fête from Augusta Cole
Augusta is an inspirational vision of weddings and event-planning and has always been on my frequent ‘likes’ list for her timeless and graceful selection of items for life’s most important moments.
Recently she has collaborated with Over the Moon, Bumble, Vogue, Brock Collection, and so many more on innovative visions for the events industry (and not just weddings! she also plans dreamy baby showers too…)
